The shield was strong enough that it had protected Tsuna entirely against Enma's gravitational attack. When they were first used in battle, they showed the ability to project a circular shield around Tsuna, which also was surrounded by a ring of text surrounding the sphere. The flames produced from the gloves also seem to be more powerful, but one major change is that when activated, some kind of writing covers the flames, similar to the one around Enma's released ring.
